Hey Sliver,
You obviously have an eye for beauty.The construction site is too beautiful, in the sense that it is abstracted from reality.It deserved to be grimy and deserved to smell of brutalisation of those who work on it.May be you should get that from another site and then juxtapose both pictures.

I do think since you really have a yen for play of light and what it does to form, you should use an slr so its more in your control and you can discover many more wonderous possibilities....
